Old Dominion frontman Matthew Ramsey admitted he “suddenly got very nervous,” when he got an unexpected request from the audience during a recent concert in New York.

Ramsey held up a sign so the whole crowd could read it on the jumbo screen. The all-caps message read: “We’re having twins… Do our gender reveal?”

“It’s gender reveal time, guys. I suddenly got very nervous for some reason,” Ramsey said, confirming with the parents-to-be, “this is real? You don’t know?”

Ramsey walked across the stage cherishing the moment that he was “the only one in the world that knows right now.” He returned to the fans to deliver the news: “You will be the proud parents of one baby boy and one baby girl. You got the best of both worlds!”

Old Dominion — which also includes Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung, and Brad Tursi — is currently on their headlining “No Bad Vibes Tour” with a star-studded list of special guests on select dates, including Tyler Hubbard, Kylie Morgan, Chase Rice, Kip Moore and Priscilla Block. The “I Was On A Boat That Day” group is gearing up to release their next full-length album, an 18-track collection by the same name of their previously-released EP, Memory Lane. The forthcoming record will include the title track, “I Should Have Married You,” “Some Horses,” “Freedom Like You” and other fan-favorites, in addition to collaborations with Megan Moroney and Blake Shelton. It’s set to release on October 6.
