Jana Kramer and her husband, Allan Russell, shared more details about their relationship — including how they decided it was time to meet one another’s children — during the latest installment of Adult Education on Whine Down with Jana Kramer on Wednesday (June 18).
Kramer, 41, and Russell, 44, publicly confirmed their relationship in early 2023, and made their red carpet debut as a couple that year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, California. They quickly announced their engagement after about six months of dating, and followed that news with a pregnancy reveal. Kramer shares Baby No. 3, son Roman James Russell, with her now-husband. They welcomed their son in November 2023. He joins big siblings Troy, Russell’s teen son from a previous relationship, and Kramer’s two children from her previous marriage, Jolie, 9, and Jace, 6.

“I knew that you were the one I was gonna marry. It was that potential where I wanted to then obviously see how you mesh with my kids,” Kramer shared with Russell on Whine Down with Jana Kramer, reflecting on the moment she and her ex-husband, Mike Caussin, talked about introducing their new partners to their children. She said the moment they met “went great. It was so good.”
Kramer and Russell are getting ready to celebrate their first wedding anniversary next month. They got married at Carnell Estate in Scotland on July 13, 2024; however, they revealed on another podcast episode that they kept a secret about their marriage for more than a year. Russell confirmed at the time, “we got married in January [2024] and we made it formal in July.” He pointed out the “legalities” ahead of the couple’s wedding abroad, and said “we were desperate to marry each other.” Kramer said the January 2024 marriage was “private and precious.” She’s since shared that she has a surprise planned for Russell for the couple’s first wedding anniversary this year.
