Nate Smith and Tyler Hubbard have been teasing their collaboration, "After Midnight," for a few weeks, but fans finally have a release date — thanks to a friendly game of beer pong.

In a new video posted to social media, Nate and Tyler face off against each other in the drinking game, and according to the rules, explained by Smith, "All we have to do is, if we make a shot, either one of us, we'll announce the release date. It's all we have to do. So if we mess this up, everyone's going to be really upset." Hubbard joked, "We might not even put it out if you miss."

Assuring Tyler they won't miss, Nate took the first shot, and made it! Next up, Hubbard took his shot and also sunk it in. And with that they revealed that "After Midnight" will be released on November 14th.

Nate first teased "After Midnight" back in September, and fans have been waiting for its release. He continues to build on his breakthrough with his sophomore album California Gold, released in 2024, which includes tracks like "Bulletproof" and "Can You Die From a Broken Heart" featuring Avril Lavigne and a collaboration with Alesso, bumping his sound into country-rock and crossover territory.

Meanwhile, Tyler Hubbard followed up his 2023 debut with his second solo studio album Strong in April 2024, which emphasizes big, anthemic country productions and themes of love, simple living and celebration.
