"Deadline" just reported that Tim McGraw is exiting his Netflix bull riding show and he will no longer star in the project.
The untitled show was announced back in May, and Tim was attached to executive produce and star. But now sources close to Tim are saying that he needs to undergo back surgery, which will require major recovery time.
This is coming off orthopedic surgeries on both of his knees in August, which forced Tim to cancel the rest of his 2024 dates.
Obviously, the bull riding character on the Netflix show was physically demanding, so Tim is stepping away and hoping the part will be recast.
But the future of the show is now unclear. There's no word from any of the show's reps as to whether the show will continue on.
Here's a logline: "The drama follows a megastar champion (McGraw) facing a life-or-death crossroads when confronted by the arrival of a fearless young rider whose very existence challenges his ways and unearths secrets that force him to reckon with his past."
