Miranda Lambert shared a few memories with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, as she celebrates the former New York City police officer’s birthday on Tuesday (October 14).
“Happy birthday to my city gone country and honorary Texan husband [Brendan McLoughlin],” Lambert wrote in her caption on Instagram. “Lover of the sun, his family, friends, the kitchen, pasta, hot dogs, travel, animals and all things fun. You are the best. 34 looks good on you! I love you.”
Lambert, 41, met McLoughlin when she appeared with her Pistol Annies bandmates on Good Morning America in November 2018. One of her bandmates invited McLoughlin, who was working security, to their performance later that evening, where he could spend more time with Lambert. The couple quickly tied the knot in a surprise intimate wedding ceremony in January 2019 outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
Lambert said in a recent interview with COWGIRL Magazine that McLoughlin “is so supportive. I’m so lucky to have him as my husband. …You know, it’s like having somebody at home who can bring you back to earth and really tell it to you straight, even if it’s sometimes hard to hear. I’m so thankful that he’s willing to come on this journey with me, and this adventure, but also be a grounding spot and a home for me.”
